Creating dedicated learning spaces for female students is essential for strengthening communities through education. A safe and supportive educational environment empowers girls to develop their knowledge, skills and confidence, enabling them to contribute positively to their families and society.
However, in the Rohingya refugee community, establishing separate learning spaces for female students remains a significant challenge. The refugee camps are extremely overcrowded, with limited land and educational facilities. As a result, it is often difficult to provide separate classrooms that ensure privacy, comfort and cultural appropriateness for girls during their studies.
Addressing this challenge requires collaborative efforts from humanitarian organizations, community leaders, educators and donors. Expanding educational infrastructure and creating safe, inclusive learning environments will help increase girls’ participation in education and promote long-term community development.
Foyazul Zobbor, a Grade-12 student of Life Destination High School, has expressed his dream of becoming an MBBS doctor and hopes to pursue higher studies at a university.
However, like him, thousands of students in the Rohingya refugee camps in Bangladesh are giving up their dreams after completing camp-level education because they see no opportunities for higher studies.
If the United Nations (UN) is committed to supporting the vulnerable Rohingya community, it obviously can take the initiative to create opportunities for qualified and university-level education, helping to build a better future.
The more education is denied, the less human rights are ensured under international law. Ignoring education means ignoring justice for Rohingya survivors.
After facing unbearable challenges, Rohingya students continue to create their own learning platform through the Examination Board of Rohingya Refugees (EBRR) while holding onto the hope that better educational opportunities will one day become available.

For decades, the Rohingya language was largely restricted to spoken communication, with very limited opportunities for reading and writing due to policies imposed by the Myanmar government. Despite these challenges, dedicated Rohingya scholars, particularly Maulana Hanif Rajeb Sahib, worked tirelessly to develop and adapt a writing system for the Rohingya language, aiming to promote literacy among the Rohingya community.
From the early stages of development to its digital transformation, Mr. Mohammed Noor, Director of Rvision, played a leading role in promoting and advancing the language through official collaboration with Children on the Edge and Mukti Cox’s Bazar.
After years of dedication, hard work, and overcoming numerous barriers, the vision has finally become a reality. The Rohingya Language App is now available in the Rohingya refugee camps, enabling smartphone users to learn, read, and write their mother tongue anytime and anywhere.
On 17 July 2026, the app was officially launched with the legal permission and support of the relevant authorities of Bangladesh, marking a historic milestone in the preservation and development of the Rohingya language and culture.

Today is a day of immense joy, gratitude, and blessings for Hakmot Ullah. Through hard work, dedication, and the mercy of Allah, he has proudly achieved two Distinctions (2D) from the Examination Board of Rohingya Refugees.

Mohammed Shohail, a 14 years old, son of Mohammed Faisel, from Ngan Chaung, ငန်းချောင်း village, in the northern part of MaungDaw, Arakan State, Myanmar. He is a hardworking, regular and well-mannered student at Life Destination High School.
Last year, a sudden organized platform called Examination Board of Rohingya Refugees ( EBRR ) has already conducted the mid-term and final Board Exams for thousands of students from across more than 70 community based schools along the Refugee Camp.
Among all participants, Shohail is one of the top ten students who stood in securing the second position in Grade-5 with 426 marks. This remarkable accomplishment has brought the great proud to all teachers of Life Destination High School, his parents and the entire community.
